Owners of the original 'chunky' PlayStation 3s have woken to find their consoles have been rendered nothing more than expensive doorstops overnight.
Er, that'll be me then.
I powered up for a Heavy Rain session this afternoon (2 days in and it's absolutely gripping) to be confronted with an ominous 8001050F error message telling me the game cannot load. Turns out it's a problem with the system clock - switching to March 1st seems to have thrown millions of PS3s across the world into a spin. Sony are working on a fix. Meanwhile, the now-infamous 8001050F already has it's own Facebook page...
