Today is Mother's Day. My mum was over yesterday and I'd decided, in addition to giving her the usual flowers and chocolates, I'd make her a meal she could take home with her seeing as she's always doing the same for me. So I made Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni using a recipe in one of my Jamie Oliver books on Friday evening. When I gave it to her my mum was pleased... but I'd been outdone somewhat: she'd made me a lasagne, banoffee pie (my favourite!) and a bunch of rock cakes. And then I remembered I still have a cottage pie in the freezer that she made me last week...
Just shows: you can't out-mum a mum...
